    I am not surprised that no one has recognized any of the cyclists in the picture. But I am surprised that no one has pointed out that it is clearly Captain Bill Benson stepping out of his bridge station even though his back is largely turned toward the camera.
    I remember Captain Benson as a venerable man who was kindly to everybody and especially to young children who wanted a chance to steer the ferry for a couple minutes. He always seem to be dressed in the work clothes shown here – blue jeans and a blue jean jacket on top of a work shirt
