Talbot Hospice and the Child Loss Community to Dedicate Healing Garden in Honor of Rhonda Higginbottom

June 18, 2025 by Talbot Hospice

Talbot Hospice, in collaboration with the Child Loss Community, will host its annual Child Loss Remembrance and Celebration of Life Ceremony on Saturday, June 21, 2025, beginning at 10 a.m. at the Healing Garden, located at the intersection of Peachblossom Road and Clubhouse Drive in Easton. All are welcome to attend, and guests are encouraged to park along Clubhouse Drive.

This year’s ceremony will include a special dedication in honor of Rhonda Higginbottom, whose vision and compassion led to the creation of the Healing Garden more than 25 years ago. The program will feature remarks from Talbot Hospice staff and members of the Higginbottom family, a moment of reflection in the garden, and the annual ceremony held by the Child Loss Community.

Inspired by a desire to bring comfort, reflection, and hope to families facing the unimaginable loss of a child – from perinatal through adulthood – Rhonda and members of the Child Loss Group first gathered to bring the garden to life. Since then, it has been lovingly supported by Talbot Hospice and the broader community, growing into a peaceful space of remembrance and healing.

The Healing Garden represents a deeply personal journey for many. It is a place where grief is honored, memories are held close, and healing is gently nurtured. Talbot Hospice is honored to recognize Rhonda’s enduring legacy and the many hands that have helped sustain her vision.
