Talbot Special Riders announces its major fund raising event for 2014: the TSR Spring Classic Bike Tour. All proceeds benefit the TSR scholarship program.
On Saturday April 12, 2014 cycling enthusiasts from around the Northeast and Mideast area will converge on the scenic town of Easton, MD for TSR’s second annual bike tour. Last year’s inaugural event, known then as the TSR Bike Tour, attracted more than 200 riders. Members of the planning committee started working last summer to fine tune a fully supported 50 mile half-century recreational bicycle ride along some of the most scenic routes on Talbot County’s Eastern Shore. There is also a 62-mile Metric-century ride and a 25-mile ride.
The TSR Spring Classic starts and ends at Easton High School, 723 Mecklenberg Ave., Easton, MD 21601, rain or shine. For more information about the event and the register online visit tsrspringclassic.homestead.com. Walk up registration on April 12 will be available and will open at 7am.
Since 1981 Talbot Special Riders has been enhancing the lives of children and adults with special needs. The goal of TSR’s equine therapy program, the only one of its kind in Talbot County, is to build confidence, self esteem, a sense of accomplishment and physical strength while learning to follow directions.
