The Zebra Gallery welcomes the art of artist Joseph Barbaccia who uses polymer-based clay to create intricate details, colors, and textures in his work. This addition to the gallery is the latest in a line of key signings of evolutionary artists from around the globe.
Barbaccia has exhibited widely – over 35 group shows and 10 solo exhibitions – in galleries and major venues throughout the East Coast and the mid-Atlantic, including the Greater Reston Art Center, Delaware Contemporary, Rehoboth Art League, and Washington DC’s Corcoran Gallery. He’s been the subject of dozens of articles, interviews, and reviews, both as an artist and as an illustrator with four published children’s picture books.
Barbaccia states, “I enjoy the tactile nature of working with clay, which allows him to shape and mold his ideas into physical pictorial form.”
Drawing inspiration from his personal history and the world around him, Joseph uses his art to process and make sense of his experiences. Often using symbolism and metaphor to convey ideas, his work invites viewers to bring their own interpretations.
The Zebra Gallery address is 5 N Harrison Street, Easton, MD (across the street from the Historic Tidewater Inn). For further information, visit https://www.thezebragallery.com.
