Looking for a special opportunity to bond with your little one?
Look no further. Third Haven Friends Meeting (the Quakers) announces the continuation of their popular mindfulness and nature play series for you and your tiny tot. The Little SPICES program is especially designed for kids 0 to 4 years of age and their parents and caregivers.
Little SPICES offers a mindful exploration of six key tenets of Quakerism, Simplicity, Peace, Integrity, Community, Equality and Stewardship (SPICES) while immersing you and your child in the joys of nature on six consecutive Friday mornings this spring.
From March 6 through April 17 (no class on 3/13), the Quakers will host a gathering for little ones and their favorite adult to explore and connect with nature and each other. Facilitated by Rebecca Rupert, experienced local teacher, each two-hour session offers plenty of outdoor playtime together, nature-based group activities, and special time for quiet reflection and connection with your little one(s).
This unique caregiver-child program will meet on the tranquil grounds of Third Haven Friends Meeting, at 405 South Washington Street, from March 6 through April 17 (no class on 3/13), from 10:00 to 12:00 every Friday morning. The cost is $90 for the six-week program. For more information or to register, visit www.thirdhaven.org or e-mail Amy Owsley (Third Haven children’s program clerk) [email protected] or Rebecca Rupert (teacher) [email protected] .
