Thrive Expo to Take Place on June 4, 2022 in Conjunction with Tour de Talbot

The community is invited to attend for free, the first ever Thrive Expo at the Easton Firehall on Leonard Rieck Drive on June 4 from 10 a.m to 2 p.m. The purpose of this event is to introduce the community to Talbot Thrive as it kicks off its inaugural year, as well as connect people to resources and organizations in the community which promote healthy living from a physical and mental perspective. Talbot Thrive was created in December of 2021 to address the safety concerns of bikers, runners, walkers and scooters to advocate for safer alternate methods of transportation in Talbot County. Members of the group are community leaders, professional transportation planners and engineers, public health professionals, business owners, wellness advocates and public officials.
 
At the first ever Thrive Expo, the public will enjoy vendors, local non-profit resources, music, give-aways and more!
 
Interested in running a 5k or half-marathon? Talbot Humane Unleashed will be there to encourage you to join their team and train for a long-distance run. Always wanted to try rowing? Learn more about opportunities to try it with Eastern Shore Rowing. Looking to learn more about sports and camps for kids this summer? Connect with Eastern Shore Basketball Academy, Talbot County Parks and Recreation, BAAM and the YMCA. There will also be resources for families on addressing mental health issues and health services from the Arc of the Chesapeake, Talbot Family Network, Partners in Care and For All Seasons. 
 
Enjoy the music of Ampersand, snow balls from the Hoot’s Shaved Ice truck ($) visit booths for giveaways and enjoy a day learning about resources available in Talbot County.

This year, Tour de Talbot will support the YMCA of the Chesapeake, Mariah’s Mission and Carepacks of Talbot County.
