Tinsmith will be performing at the Carpe Diem Arts free lunch-time performance series at the Talbot County Senior Center at Brookletts Place in Easton on Tuesday, October 18 from 12:15-1pm.
The performance will feature Brooke Parkhurst, Henry Cross — and Rowan Corbett (from the Grammy Award-winning Carolina Chocolate Drops; also touring with Rhiannon Giddens)
Tinsmith performs traditional music of Ireland, Scotland and Appalachia. Citing influences from blues to bluegrass, from funk to jazz to mountain music, they bring traditional songs and tunes into the new century. Led by multi-talented Rowan Corbett of the Carolina Chocolate Drops (guitar, bouzouki, bones, djembe) and WAMMIE-winning vocalist Brooke Parkhurst (banjo, Irish flute, tin whistles), the group also includes superb bassist Henry Cross. www.Tinsmith.net
The monthly 45-60 minute performances are FREE and open to the public. Lunch is available at 12 noon with advance reservations. RSVP: 410-822-2869 / [email protected]
In addition, later that same evening, Tinsmith will be at the Avalon Theater’s Stoltz Listening Room at 7 pm. Tickets are available at: https://tickets.avalontheatre. com/eventperformances.asp?evt= 742
