Bev Williams

“William Faulkner Made … Easy!” at the Talbot County Free Library

On Monday, August, 26, at 6:00 p.m., in the Easton branch of the Talbot County Free Library, lifelong teacher Bev Williams will lead a discussion of William Faulkner’s short story “A Rose for Emily.”  “A Rose for Emily” is a straightforward piece of prose that most people find more accessible than many of Faulkner’s other works.  Copies of the short story are available free of charge at both the St. Michaels and Easton branches of the Talbot County Free Library.

Bev Williams received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Virginia.  He began his teaching career at The Landon School in Bethesda, and has taught at The National Cathedral School for Girls and St. Albans School as well.  He has overseen institutional advancement activities at Episcopal High School and the University of Virginia, among others.

St. Michaels Library to Show Free Movie

On Tuesday, August 27, at noon, the St. Michaels branch of the Talbot County Free Library will show an award-winning film on its big, professional screen.  The movie is rated PG-13.  All library programs are free and open to the public.  Patrons do not need to pre-register to attend this screening.  For more information (including the title of this film, which, due to licensing requirements, we cannot publish here), please call the library at 410-745-5877, or visit www.tcfl.org.

St. Michaels Library to Offer Story Time

On Wednesday, August 28, at 10:30 a.m., the St. Michaels branch of the Talbot County Free Library will offer a Story Time program for children 5 and under accompanied by an adult.  All library programs are free and open to the public.  Patrons do not need to pre-register to participate in this program.  For more information, please call the library at 410-745-5877, or visit www.tcfl.org.

On Thursday, August 29, at 3:30 p.m., the St. Michaels branch of the Talbot County Free Library will host an afternoon of board games and fun educational children’s games for all ages (children 5 and under must be accompanied by an adult).All library programs are free and open to the public.  Patrons do not need to pre-register to participate in this program.  For more information, please call the library at 410-745-5877, or visit www.tcfl.org.
