Learn Microsoft Excel from a Pro at the Easton Library
On Monday, August 27, from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m., in the Easton branch of the Talbot County Free Library, Computer Training Specialist Rita Hill will repeat her popular introductory class in Microsoft Excel. All library programs are free and open to the public. Virtual Reality Roadshow Coming to the Easton Library
On Tuesday, August 28, from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m., the Easton branch of the Talbot County Free Library will once again host the popular Virtual Reality Roadshow. Community members of all ages are invited to come in and test out the latest virtual reality technology, including Oculus Rift and HTC Vive. Using this technology, participants will create and visit their own, personal virtual worlds.
Coaches will be on hand to teach you how to use the equipment and guide you through the experience. Library staff will provide information on future opportunities to enjoy Virtual Reality here in Talbot County.
The Virtual Reality Roadshow is a program of the Maryland State Library. It is supported by the Institute of Museum and Library Services, and coordinated in part with the Baltimore County Public Library.

St. Michaels Library to Screen Award-Winning Film
On Tuesday, August 28, at noon, the St. Michaels branch of the Talbot County Free Library will show an award-winning, Sci-Fi movie on its big, professional screen. Learn How to Secure Your Electronic Devices at the St. Michaels Library
On Thursday, August 30, at 10:00 a.m., the St. Michaels branch of the Talbot County Free Library will host “Is Your Password ‘Password’?” The program will teach you how to create passwords for your electronic devices that are more difficult for thieves to discover, and how to remember them without a Post-It note on your keyboard.
