Easton Library to Offer Excel Class on Charts & Graphs

On Monday, December 2, from 1:30 – 3:00 p.m., in the Easton branch of the Talbot County Free Library, Computer Training Specialist Rita Hill will teach patrons the ins and outs of using Microsoft’s Excel program to produce charts and graphs.  Patrons my bring their own PC laptop or just sit and observe (no Macs please).  All library programs are free and open to the public.  Patrons do not need to pre-register to participate in this program.  For more information, please call the library at 410-822-1626, or visit www.tcfl.org.

Easton Library to Host Afternoon Chess

On Tuesdays, December 3 & 17, January 7 & 21, and February 4 & 18, at 4:30 p.m., the Easton branch of the Talbot County Free Library invites youth 6 – 16 years of age to come in to learn and play chess.  Light snacks will be served.  All library programs are free and open to the public, but patrons do need to pre-register (at www.tcfl.org/child/programreg/) to participate in this program.  For more information, please call the library at 410-822-1626, or visit www.tcfl.org.

Easton Library Art Exhibit: “Reflections on Botanical Art”

“Reflections on Botanical Art”—featuring work by Anna Harding and Lee D’Zmura—will be on exhibit in the Easton Branch of the Talbot County Free Library from December 3 to December 31.  There will be an opening reception on Thursday, December 5, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.All library programs are free and open to the public.  Patrons do not need to pre-register to attend the opening or view this exhibit.  For more information, please call the library at 410-822-1626, or visit www.tcfl.org.

Read with a Pets on Wheels Therapy Dog at the St. Michaels Library

On Tuesday, December 3, at 3:30 p.m., the St. Michaels branch of the Talbot County Free Library invites children to bring a book or choose one from the library’s shelves to read with Maggie Gowe and her dog, Wally.  All library programs are free and open to the public.  Patrons do not need to pre-register to participate in this program.  For more information, please call the library at 410-745-5877, or visit www.tcfl.org.

Easton Library to Host Teen Night: Peer Pilot Mentoring for 8th Graders

On Wednesday, December 4, at 6:00 p.m., the Easton branch of the Talbot County Free Library invites students in 8th grade to fly into a day in the life of a high-schooler with student peer mentors from Easton High School and St. Michaels Middle High School.The evening will feature games, food, and Q&A with the mentors.  All library programs are free and open to the public.  Patrons do not need to pre-register to participate in this program.  For more information, please call the library at 410-822-1626, or visit www.tcfl.org.

St. Michael,s Library to Offer STEM Program

On Wednesday, December 4, at 3:30 p.m., the St. Michaels branch of the Talbot County Free Library will offer a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, & Math) program entitled “We Are Builders.”  Children 5 – 12 years of age will have the opportunity to build with Legos, Zoobs, or foam blocks.All library programs are free and open to the public.  Patrons do not need to pre-register to participate in this program.  For more information, please call the library at 410-745-5877, or visit www.tcfl.org.

Easton Library to Offer Challenge Island (STEM Learning Program): Sailboat Design

On Thursday, December 5, at 4:00 p.m., the Easton branch of the Talbot County Free Library will offer a Challenge Island (STEM Learning Program): Sailboat Design program for children in grades 1-5.  This promises to be a terrific Thanksgiving Challenge around the Mayflower Harbor!  The Pilgrims are off to America and need your tribe’s help!  Build your own Mayflower and race it to America with your Pilgrim Crew!  All library programs are free and open to the public, but patrons do need to pre-register (at www.tcfl.org/child/programreg/) to participate in this program.  For more information, please call the library at 410-822-1626, or visit www.tcfl.org.

Free Family Law Assistance Will Be Available at Easton Library

On Thursdays, December 5, January 2, & February 6, from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m., a lawyer will be present in the Easton branch of the Talbot County Free Library to provide free consultation to patrons on a first-come, first-served basis on how to represent themselves and complete forms for divorce, custody, visitation, child support, name change, guardianship, adoption, and juvenile expungement. St. Michaels Library to Offer Adult Arts & Crafts

On Thursday, December 5, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., the St. Michaels branch of the Talbot County Free Library will offer an adult arts and crafts program.  Free instruction will be available for knitting, beading, needlework, and tatting.  Patrons are invited to bring their coloring books, Zentangle pens, or anything else that fuels their passion for being creative.  They may also bring a lunch.All library programs are free and open to the public.  Patrons do not need to pre-register to participate in this program.  For more information, please call the library at 410-745-5877, or visit www.tcfl.org.

Bilingual Story Time at the Easton Library

On Saturdays, December 7 and January 18, at 1:30 p.m., the Easton branch of the Talbot County Free Library invites children 4 – 8 years of age to come in to learn and practice Spanish and English, Español y Ingles.  All library programs are free and open to the public.  Patrons do not need to pre-register to participate in this program.  For more information, please call the library at 410-822-1626, or visit www.tcfl.org.
