Free Legal Advice to Be on Offer in Easton Library
On Monday, May 6, from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m., in the Easton branch of the Talbot County Free Library, attorneys from Maryland Legal Aid will provide legal assistance on civil topics such as expungement, bankruptcy, housing law, landlord/tenant, domestic/family, etc., on a first-come, first-served basis for those that qualify based upon their income level. Lunch & Learn at St. Michaels Library: Helping the World See Clearly
On Monday, May 6, at noon, in the St. Michaels branch of the Talbot County Free Library, J. Kevin White, former U.S. Marine and founder and executive director of Global Vision 2020, will explain how his small, Easton-based team is able to provide free prescription glasses to the world’s most impoverished people.
White is currently building programmatic partnerships in several nations in Sub-Saharan Africa and South America. Last year, he won the We Work Creator Award’s $1 million prize. The Lunch and Learn series is sponsored by the Friends of the Library. Coffee and dessert will be provided.

Children to Read with a Pet on Wheels Therapy Dog at the St. Michaels Library
