Easton Library to Host Intermediate Excel Class
On Wednesday, October 16, from 1:00 – 2:30 p.m., in the Easton branch of the Talbot County Free Library Computer Training Specialist Rita Hill will teach an intermediate Microsoft Excel class for those that already know a little bit about Microsoft Excel. Patrons are invited to bring their own PC laptop or just sit and observe (no Macs please). All library programs are free and open to the public. St. Michaels Library to Host Discussion of Pachinko
On Wednesday, October 16, from 3:30 – 5:00 p.m., in the St. Michaels branch of the Talbot County Free Library, the St. Michaels Library Book Club (which is open to all) will discuss National Book Award finalist Pachinko, a novel by Min Jin Lee. Easton Library to Screen Film with Local Connection
On Saturday, October 19, at 2:00 p.m., the Easton branch of the Talbot County Free Library will show “Flash of Genius” on its big, professional screen. The film stars Greg Kinnear and Alan Alda and is rated PG-13. The movie is based upon on the true story of Robert Kearns who, having invented an intermittent windshield wiper that he thought would make him wealthy, found himself and his family cheated out of his just reward by the automakers of the 1960s. The day’s special guest will be Timothy Kearns of Oxford, MD, who is the son of the inventor and will answer questions about his father after the screening.
