Thursday, September 12, 6:00 p.m. Roger Vaughn talks about writing his latest book, Arthur Curtiss James: Unsung Titan of the Gilded Age, and the process of writing in general. The author of 20 books, Vaughan has been writing for print, television, film, and video for sixty years. A question and answer period will follow the interview.

Come learn about some of our common native insect species, the ecological roles they play, what their decline means to us, and what you can do to make your yard more insect friendly. Zobel is the agriculture extension agent for Dorchester County.

Thursday, September 19, 6:30 p.m. As we commemorate the 75th anniversary of D-Day, Larry Denton, executive director of Talbot County Historical Society, tells the story of locals citizens of Talbot County and the sacrifices they made to help win that epic battle.
