The winners of the St. Michaels Art League’s “Reflections” exhibit were announced on July 27th at the Academy Art Museum’s reception to celebrate their 60th Anniversary.
Carla Massoni, owner of the Massoni Gallery in Chestertown, MD since 1990, judged the exhibit. Carla has been deeply involved in the arts of the Mid-Atlantic for over 30 years. The theme of the show, “Reflections”, includes an array of interpretations, from the literal to the figurative.
First Place was awarded to Beth Wright for her watercolor titled “Langdon Farm Reflections”; Second Place went to Mo Herbert for her pastel“Stolen Moment”, and third went to Sandy Alanko for her watercolor titled “Reflecting”. Honorable mentions went to Scott Sullivan for his watercolor “Reflecting on Carefree Summers” and to George Hamilton for his oil “Her Dressing Table”.
The exhibit is being shown in the Museum’s Selections Gallery and will be on display through August 19th. The Academy Art Museum is located at 106 South St. in Easton. Museum hours are Monday, 10am-4pm, Tuesday to Thursday 10am-8pm, Friday, Saturday and Sunday 10am-4pm and first Friday of each month until 7pm. Admission for non-members is $3.00; children under 12 free. Free admission on Wednesdays.
