Countdown to SPLENDOR! Join your friends and neighbors this Saturday night at SPLENDOR, the annual fundraising event to benefit the Tilghman Watermen’s Museum.
Here is a brand new item just added: Baltimore Orioles vs. Toronto Blue Jays box seat tickets for four on Friday, May 19, plus parking pass. Also, a lovely coffee table made by Tilghman’s Stanley Covington, a visit to your home by the Tilghman Island Santa himself, lots of artwork and photography by local artists, several unique pieces of jewelry, and a five to six foot Nellie Stevens Holly tree, planted.
We have trips! A crabbing trip for 6 with Captain Russell Dize, a fishing trip with Captain Willie Roe, a sunset champagne cruise for 4 on the Lady Patty, a cruise for 2 on the “Patriot”, including dinner at the Crab Claw, and a wine and cheese cruise for 6 aboard the “Screaming Eagle.”
There is something for everyone including many gift baskets and gift certificates for local goods and services.
Items will be available for viewing on Friday, April 7, from 3 to 5 p.m. and on Saturday, April 8, from 10 until noon at the Tilghman Fire Hall. The event is Saturday evening from 5 to 8 p.m.
Admission is $35 per person, and includes a variety of beers and fine wines, a raw bar, and hors d’oeuvres provided by Two if By Sea Cafe, Characters at the Bridge, and Harrison’s Chesapeake House.
