Wire & Beaded Jewelry Makin with Barbara Barrowcliff
Barb teaches us how to bend and manipulate wire to create stunning jewelry pieces, often using beads, sea glass and stones. Material and supplies are available for use but you’re welcome to bring your own. Class is on Sunday, October 13 at SMCC from 11 am to 2 pm. Fee is $80. Bring a bag lunch. More Watercolor Techniques for the New Painter with Joan Cranor
This class will advance the painter into incorporating different techniques such as using salt, scratching, resists, reflections, and shadows in their watercolor paintings. Emphasis will also be placed on what makes a good painting, balance of colors, shapes, center of interest and development of brushstrokes, washes, and glazes. Classes will be held at SMCC on 4 Thursday mornings from 9:30 am – noon on September 26, Oct. 3, 10 & 17. The fee for the 4 week course is $80. Caribbean Cooking with a fusion of East Indian flavor with Carolyn Vynckier
Carolyn teaches with exotic flair and combines her knowledge of Caribbean cooking with East Indian cooking. The result is DELICIOUS! It’s all about bringing the beautiful natural ingredients together with the right spices in a very easy way. Classes will be held at the new St. Michaels Housing Authority Kitchen on Dodson Ave. in St. Michaels on Tuesday mornings from 9:30 am – noon on October 1, 8, 15 and 22.
