CheckYourself Talbot recently launched a 30-second video contest on the dangers of binge drinking that runs until Feb. 28, with $1,000 for the winner.
Videos should show the risks of binge drinking and the importance of partying with a plan. Entrants also are encouraged to share their binge drinking stories.
The contest is open to all residents of the Mid-Shore, ages 18 and old. Special consideration will be given to Talbot County residents in the target age group of 18-25. Videos may be submitted online at www.checkyourselftalbot.com.
An expert panel will judge the videos on the basis of creativity and originality, quality and the content of the message. The videos will be used as public service announcements and will air on local television and at the movies. The grand prize winner will receive $1,000.
