Throughout the month of May, St. Michaels Art League will present an exhibit at the St. Michaels Branch Library Gallery of various media in values of black to white with a touch of color. The artwork will be on display and available for purchase beginning May 1 and will continue through May 30 in the Gallery, which is located inside the rear entrance of the Library on Connor St. in St. Michaels.
ARTfest will begin in June. St. Michaels Art League received a grant from AT&T which the League is using to present 100 days of art from Memorial Day through Labor Day. Numerous art classes, evening talks and various art activities for all ages and levels of ability and interest are planned.
Starting off the month of June, Patti Mollica, artist and author, will present an in-depth, fun-filled lecture and demo on uses of acrylic paint in her talk, “The A to Z of Acrylics,” on Monday June 2, from 6:00 -8:00 p.m. at the St. Michaels Library, 106 Fremont Avenue, St. Michaels. The program is sponsored by Golden Arts Paints, Inc. The talk is free, but those who wish to receive free samples of Golden Artist Colors acrylics must register in advance.
