Staff members of University of Maryland Shore Home Care and Hospice conducted a drive earlier this month for donations to support the Caroline County Humane Society. The drive for donations was a project under Nursing Shared Leadership at UM Shore Regional Health.
The Easton-based home care and hospice staff had purchased, collected and brought in a van-load of items, including cat and dog food, bedding, collars and leashes, laundry soap, and grooming and cleaning supplies to help the Caroline Humane Society take the best possible care of their pet population.
“Just about everyone was able to pitch in, and we felt happy knowing that our donations really help the animals and their caregivers,” commented Deborah Reeder, RN, COS-C, home health manager for UM Shore Home Care and Hospice.
