A local group of fiber artists, all members of the Bayside Quilt Guild, have donated a quilt they created to the Talbot County Free Library. They describe their work as an “architectural quilt,” as it features important buildings in the Town of Easton, including the Academy Art Museum, the Odd Fellows Building, and the Talbot County Courthouse.
In 2006, the quilt was awarded second place (Viewers’ Choice) at the Annapolis Quilt Guild’s annual show. Speaking of the donation, Scotti Oliver, assistant director of the library, said “It’s such a beautiful addition to our library. We are thrilled to have it.” Patrons are invited to view the quilt in the library’s Easton branch where it is now proudly displayed over the atlas stand.
