“A Brush with Summer” featuring members of The Working Artists Forum will open at the A.M. Gravely Gallery, 408 S. Talbot Street, St. Michaels, Maryland on Friday, June 2nd and run through July 30th, 2017. The Working Artists Forum (WAF) is a non-profit organization of 90 professional working artists from the Eastern Shore and surrounding areas who meet monthly at the Academy Art Museum in Easton for lectures, critiques and demonstrations and exhibit their work in a variety of venues throughout the year. Membership is established by a jury composed of fellow artists. WAF members actively exhibit their work separately and together, and have pieces in both private and corporate collections throughout the United States and internationally.
For this show, member artists of The Working Artists Forum will display original paintings in oil, watercolor, acrylic, and pastel, along with works in pen and ink, mixed media and printmaking. The A.M. Gravely Gallery is located in a restored Victorian home built in 1860 and on the Maryland Historic Register. Gallery hours are Friday – Saturday from 10-6 and Sunday – Tuesday from 10-3. Receptions for this show will be held on June 10th and July 8th, from 5-7 p.m, when all the galleries in St. Michaels open their doors to celebrate Second Saturday St. Michaels Art Walk.
