The Academy Art Museum will host an Open House on Friday, January 19, 2018 from 10 a.m. to 12 noon featuring its Mini Masters Academy, an art-based, early enrichment program for children 2 to 4 years old. Associated with the Smithsonian’s Early Enrichment Program, Mini Masters offers a program rich in the arts, as well as developmentally appropriate activities designed to foster the skills needed for the school years and beyond.
Mini Masters believes in child-centered, exploratory learning, and all activities are based on leading research in early childhood learning and development. The multi-age mix of children ensures that children learn from each other and develop compassion. The program runs from September thru May, but welcomes enrollment any time during the school year. Morning or full-day programs are available.
During the open house, there will be an art project, refreshments, registration packets and fun! The open house is open to people looking for a program for after the new year or for next fall. Siblings and friends of current enrollees are invited to attend. Two-year olds must have turned two by September 1, 2017. Contact Janet Hendricks for program details at [email protected] or (410) 822-2787.
