Party should not be a primary consideration when it comes to local elections. My priority in choosing candidates for County Council is to consider those who will listen to and act on citizen concerns, adhere to the Comprehensive Plan that guides our future land-use policies, and can efficiently manage County tax revenues. My list of qualified candidates who would carry out these priorities effectively are Keasha Haythe, Naomi Hyman, Pete Lesher, and incumbent Laura Price.
Voting is a cherished freedom in our country. Early voting begins on Thursday, October 25 at the Easton Fire Hall, and ends on Thursday, November 1. Election day is Tuesday, November 6 at your assigned polling place. Careful thought should be given to candidate choices. The above candidates are all well qualified to lead Talbot County in a sound direction.
