Easton Library to Host Science Program for Children Entering Grades 2 – 6

On Monday, June 17, and Tuesday, June 18, from 10:00 a.m. – noon (for children entering grades 2 and 3), and 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. (for children entering grades 4-6), the Easton branch of the Talbot County Free Library will once again play host to the popular “GSK Science in the Summer” program.

Exploring “the science of me,” children will learn how food becomes our body’s fuel, where oxygen goes when we breathe in, and the ways in which our brain interprets the world.  This program—sponsored by Glaxo Smith Kline and the American Association for the Advancement of Science—will feature active, hands-on learning and STEM.

St. Michaels Library to Offer Coloring Program for Teens & Adults

Learn How to Create a Mosaic Stepping Stone at the Easton Library

Easton Library to Offer Program on Container Gardening

On Thursday, June 20, at 5:30 p.m., in the Easton branch of the Talbot County Free Library,Kacey Martin (AKA “Mrs. Fancy Plants”) will teach a program on container gardening.

A recent graduate of the Master Gardeners course offered in Wicomico County through the MD Extension Office, Martin’s passion for gardening and her enthusiasm for educating fellow gardeners makes her hands-on workshop fun, full of practical information, and entertaining.  She will walk participants through the basics of container gardening, while pointing out money saving tips and tricks she’s picked up helping to establish community gardens in Salisbury.
