SMAL Announces Awards in Photography Show

“Cocentricity” by George Sass

The St. Michaels Art League has announced the winners of their second annual photography show.

Tom McCall, a local photographer with a Masters degree in Photo Journalism from Ohio University, served as Judge.  Tom is also currently on the board of the Chesapeake Film Festival.

Several categories of photography were included in the show: digital, fine art photography and computer enhanced photos.

First place went to George Sass for his color photo, “Cocentricity.” The second place award went to Sharon Thorpe for her black and white photo titled “Forgotten Farmhouse.”  Third Place went to Molly Markus’ entry “Adorned and Ready for Love.”

The show will run through October 31 at the St. Michaels branch of the Talbot County Free Library, during regular library hours – 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday and Thursday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday, and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

Photography on display may be purchased through the artists.
