The Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum in St. Michaels, Md., is hosting another session of its virtual tool-sharpening workshop on Saturday, Sept. 19, from 10am–noon.
The workshop will focus on gouges and other oddly shaped edge tools. By using grinding wheels and stones to sharpen your tools, practice and just a few simple techniques can help make them last a lifetime. The cost for the workshop is $10 for non-members and $8 for CBMM members, with registration needed at cbmm.org/toolsharpening.
CBMM members play a critical role in supporting CBMM’s rich legacy of educational programs, fascinating and ever-changing exhibitions, and maintenance of the largest collection of Chesapeake watercraft in the world, including access to exclusive discounts, perks, and programming. To learn more about becoming a CBMM member, visit cbmm.org/membership.
