Share

Alex Martin - Close-upGet over to the Stoltz Listening Room at Avalon Theatre on Saturday, April 12th to witness New World jazz artist Alex Martin and his quartet perform an eclectic mix of French, American, and Latin American jazz standards, as well as Alex’s original music.

Born in Brittany, the Celtic province of France, raised mostly in rural North Carolina, and a traveler through Spain and Latin America who is now living in Washington, DC, Alex seeks to create music that expresses his unique confluence of world cultures, what he calls “New World jazz.”

He leads groups like his quartet that have appeared at Blues Alley, Twins Jazz, the National Gallery of Art’s Jazz in the Garden series, and many other venues around the MD/DC area. His ensemble at Stoltz in April will feature an exciting electric violinist as well.

Alex Martin Quartet will perform on Saturday, April 12, 2014 at the Stoltz Listening Room. Tickets are $25. Doors 7:30pm; Show 8:00pm. Tickets available at https://tickets.avalontheatre.com/
