AManOfNoImportanceAuditions are set for the musical A Man of No Importance, TAP’s third play of the current season and directed by Joe Tyler. Dates are Tuesday, March 29, at 7 p.m., Wednesday, March 30, at 7 p.m., Saturday, April 2, at 1 p.m., and Sunday, April 3, at 1 p.m.

All auditions will take place at St. Marks United Methodist Church, 100 Peachblossom Road in Easton.

The play is set in Ireland and tells the story of a Dublin theater group and their leader, who is determined to stage a version of Salome at his church despite objections of church authorities. Please bring sheet music for the pianist. Irish music is preferred but not required. Sing something that shows off your vocal range. Irish dance and dance only auditions will be conducted separately at the same times.

The cast of 24 includes 10 men, ages 25 to 60, six females, ages 25 to 60, and eight Irish-style dancers, male or female. Rehearsals will begin May 10 and the play opens August 11. For more information contact Joe Tyler at [email protected].

TAP is funded in part by a General Operating Grant from the Maryland State Arts Council, with funds provided by the State of Maryland and by the National Endowment for the Arts, and by a similar grant from the Talbot County Arts Council.
