“Treasures of the Bay…Hidden in Plain Sight” is the theme for this Saturday’s Chesapeake Folk Festival at the Maritime Museum in St Michaels; and if you only attend one festival this summer, this should be it. It is a celebration of all thing local. Attendees can listen to live music; eat regional foods; bob for peaches; create an eel pot; mend a gill net; learn about Chesapeake Native Americans, and even help make a multi-media sculpture project.

Graphic artist turned painter, his work is surrealist in nature. His day job is Senior Curator and Chief of Design for the National Gallery of Art in D.C.
