Carpe Diem Arts Presents Gerdan on February 14

Free-Lunch Time Performance Series by Carpe Diem Arts presents Gerdan: Soul of the Ukraine. The concert will take place at Talbot County Senior Center, 400 Brookletts Ave., Easton, on Tuesday, February 14, 12:15pm-1:00pm.

The acclaimed husband and wife duo of Andrei Pidkivka and Solomia Gorokhivska will take us on an unforgettable journey through their native Ukraine and other neighboring countries, exploring the rich classical and folk music traditions of Eastern Europe. Andrei’s exotic flutes, from the small ocarina to the large fujara, are accompanied by Solomia’s violin and vocals.

gerdanThis program is made possible by the generous support of the Talbot County Arts Council with revenues provided by the Maryland State Arts Council, and by the Mid-Shore Community Foundation (MSCF), Dock Street Foundation, Brookletts Place, the Artistic Insights Fund, and by individual contributions to the Carpe Diem Arts Outreach Fund/MSCF.

The monthly 45-minute performance is FREE and open to the public.
