Dominic Terrone, a former professor of Civil War history at Anne Arundel Community College, will provide a history lesson on the Talbot Boys Confederate statue, including historical detail and context on its erection. He will also address Talbot County’s role and politics during the Civil War and why that’s important to consider in the discussion about the Talbot Boys Confederate statue today. This is the fourth virtual event sponsored by Move the Monument Coalition and will be held on Thursday, March 11 at 6:30.
Mr. Terrone taught courses on “Maryland in the Civil War” and “Robert E. Lee – Separating the Man from the Myth” at Anne Arundel Community College. He has also served as President, Board and Executive Committee member, for the Civil War Round Table of Washington, DC. As a lifelong student of the Civil War, Mr. Terrone traveled throughout the Southern states while living in Atlanta for 10 years. Maryland has been his home for 30 years, six of which have been in Talbot County. He has written numerous articles and commentary regarding the Talbot Boys statue and has amassed a home library of 350 Civil War books and tapes.

And never let historical facts get in the way of a good story. But if you repeat it enough times someone will believe them.
