Hinckley Yachts to Rendezvous at Perry Cabin this Weekend

August 24, 2017 by Spy Desk

General Manager Michael Hoffmann and Captain Jason Pinter of Inn at Perry Cabin by Belmond will be dockside Friday, August 25 to welcome more than a dozen experienced and discerning yacht owners as they sail into St. Michaels in a veritable procession of luxurious Hinckleys.

One by one, Hinckley owners from as far away as Florida will arrive beginning around midday for the 2017 Hinckley Owners Rendezvous. The owner appreciation event is held in a different location every year—from Nantucket to Key Largo—and this is only the second time in the event’s nearly 10-year history that it will take place on the Chesapeake Bay.

Save for a Saturday sail across Eastern Bay to Kent Island, the Miles River will sparkle all weekend with elegant, high-performance crafts while Rendezvous participants enjoy cocktail receptions and private plated meals at Inn at Perry Cabin. Among those crafts will be “Five Star”—a 55’ Hinckley yacht and the newest addition to Inn at Perry Cabin’s fleet, available for private charters and “Skip the Bridge” escape packages.

The public is welcome to stroll along the Inn’s docks and waterfront lawn Friday from 3 to 5 p.m. to admire the yachts, speak with owners and meet with Hinckley representatives.

Now in its 89th year, The Hinckley Company is a world-renowned builder of premium jet boats and sailing craft from 29 to 79 feet in length. It produces only 50 boats each year, from stem to stern and here in the United States, each of them to order.

For more information, to schedule an interview and to RSVP for Saturday’s sail, please reply to this email or contact me on 202.262.1488.
