JANUARY 2026

January 14, 2026, 3-6:00pm – OCC’s Classic Cinema Club featuring the 1967 film ‘Wait Until Dark’ 
This film, directed by Terence Young and stars Audrey Hepburn and Alan Arkin, is the first in the ‘OCC’s Classic Cinema Club’ series. The club will meet monthly to watch a chosen movie followed by discussion. FREE, RSVP online at oxfordcc.org. All are welcome. 

January 1, 2026, 5:30-6:30pm – Local Author Series, in partnership with the Oxford Library, Book Signing and Sales
Local Author Jonathan Lillard discusses his new book ‘All Roads Lead to Hasting on Hudson’. Lillard will discuss how The Chesapeake Bay is connected to the Hudson River by a shared history of pollution. Come hear how Hudson on Hastings is guiding the way for clean-up efforts – and be inspired! FREE, cash bar and nibbles. RSVP online at oxfordcc.org. All are welcome.

January 22, 2026, 5:30-6:30pm – Community Talk: The Benefits of Prescribed Fire for Oxford’s Conservation Park
Join us for a community presentation on prescribed fire as a habitat management tool at Oxford Conservation Park. Learn how prescribed burns can help manage invasive species and enhance meadow habitats at Oxford Conservation Park. Hosted by Talbot County Parks & Recreation, the Friends of Oxford Conservation Park, the Maryland Department of Natural Resources, the Natural Lands Project and Eastern Shore Land Conservancy. This presentation will outline the planned prescribed burn at the park, including how prescribed fires work and their role in shaping effective land management. Free, cash bar and nibbles. FEBRUARY 2026

February 4, 2026, 11am-noon, Wellness Wednesday with the Sante Group about ‘Self Care’
Bring your lunch and join us for a discussion about ‘self-care’ with the Sante Group. The Sante Group is located in Easton and provides experienced, compassionate support for those impacted by emotional or mental health distress or crisis. Free, sodas and water provided. February 6, 2026, 5:30pm – OCC Mardi Gras Dinner and Concert
Chef Larry Paz and Crew are making New Orleans Gumbo and Beignets with Hurricanes as the specialty drink. Join us and celebrate the season with dinner and dancing! Tickets are $40 per person, purchase tickets at oxfordcc.org. 

February 26, 2026, 6-9pm – Sip & Style, $100 per person
What happens when smart style meets smart sipping? The Oxford Community Center invites you to an unforgettable evening of fashion insight, wine wisdom, and pure indulgence at Sip & Style—a limited-seat event designed to leave every woman feeling inspired, confident, and ready to step into spring with flair. Hosted by two Eastern Shore favorites — Beth Haschen, owner of Levity & Wit and co-host of the Closet Editor segment on WFHW/WHCP, and Laurie Forster, The Wine Coach, author of The Sipping Point and co-host of Wine Wednesday on WFHW/WHCP — the evening blends bold style guidance with curated wine pairings that are as fun as they are fabulous. Tickets are $100 and include the full Sip & Style program, wine tastings, small plates, prize giveaways and an evening of conversation and camaraderie designed to spark confidence and creativity. February 27, 2026, 7-9pm – Black History Month Celebration of Emancipation
Join the Talbot Historical Society in partnership with the Oxford Community Center for continued conversation as the descendants of Nathaniel , “Uncle Nace” Hopkins, and actor Darius Wallace present  ‘A Living  History of Nathaniel Hopkins’. This is a moving portrayal of a man who ‘transformed bondage into freedom’s legacy’. FREE, RSVP online at oxfordcc.org. All are welcome.
