This is what Donald J. Trump started doing this past weekend. Doing this so he can spend our tax dollars to build an extravagant ballroom. He says private funds are paying for this. I don’t believe that. Maybe private funds are paying for some of it. Even if they are, the White House is not a “private” residence. It belongs to the people of the United States – you and me. Is this really what we want done to our house?

He should use a tent on the lawn instead. It will make it easier for the next administration to remove it which is certain to happen.

Why would anyone believe anything Trump says? He is a pathological liar. The CNN & Washington Post fact checking teams reported that he told 23,000+ lies so far. With no end in sight.

He just now has raised the cost of the building by another hundred million dollars and the people who elected him are hungry. I didn’t elect him I’m not stupid.

This ball room is going to be bigger than the White House. His debauchery is unstoppable with the support of the Supreme Court,Congress,Senate. In a span of 71 days one trillion has been added to the U.S. debt. I don’t know how besides a miracle,or hopefully a fair election, we’re going to get out of this, as he’s done a great job of gaming the system, just think where will be in 3 years.

What was that protest march the other day about?? Something about Kings?? Seems to be more on the mark than we thought. We fought the revolution to free ourselves from a King.

Letters to the Editor
If Trump had followed the traditional process to make changes to the White House, as all previous presidents have done, and scaled the ballroom to a reasonable size, many of us would have less reason to complain, except for one other big reason – his own personal style. We know what’s coming as indicated by the embarrassing changes he has already made to the White House. His personal style preferences are way over the top with his misguided obsession with everything gold, as some symbol of wealth, sending the wrong American message. He presents this ballroom in his usual, “it will be great” manner, as though we are delighted with anything he suggests. He suggests it “was designed by the greatest architects, it was an award-winning design, it will be the largest, you will like it”, etc., etc. But we won’t. We know it will follow the same outrageous décor as that found in the Oval Office and the new Rose Garden. It will only be another expensive example of Trump’s dumbing down of America
Let’s hope someone in authority finds a way to stop this boondoggle before we get stuck with another of Trump’s destructive ideas. The Arch deDumb is yet to come.

To start with, Trump said he was going to pay for the ballroom. Then he said construction would not disturb the rest of the White House. Both turned out to be lies. Not surprising when he is a pathological liar. But when he lies like that, the corporate news organizations report it as if it were true. They don’t say, “Trump is probably lying when he says he’ll pay for the ballroom…” That would be accurate reporting,
