Reggie Harris, nationally recognized musician, storyteller who uses folk and gospel legacy to tell the Underground Railroad story will perform at the Harriet Tubman Underground Railroad Dinner celebration on Friday, June 13th at Waugh Chapel on High Street in Cambridge. His music includes stories of Harriet Tubman and others who stole away. Mr. Harris has performed at The Kennedy Center, The Smithsonian Institute, at festivals and schools around the country as well as Canada and Europe. Dinner tickets are $30 which includes a traditional Eastern Shore dinner and the performance. Dinner is at 7PM at Waugh Chapel on High Street in Cambridge.

The Celebration Dinner is part of the Harriet Tubman Underground Railroad Conference being offered at Chesapeake College, Cambridge Campus on Friday noon – 5, followed by reception and the dinner. Additional workshops and program will continue on Saturday, 8-3:30 PM. The Water Moves Us is the Conference theme, with research and stories how people fled via the water, not just by land.
