The Talbot County Paramedic Foundation and Aqua Pools have teamed up to support Talbot County Emergency Services by equipping all paramedic units with state-of-the-art portable coolers.
These coolers are particularly important this time of year when soaring temperatures contribute to heat-related emergencies. Having coolers onboard will allow for the storage of cold liquids for hydration and other cooling devices to treat patients experiencing heat-related emergencies and to support volunteer firefighters during extended fire and rescue operations.
“This is another example of how our business community supports the efforts of our emergency responders,” says Clay Stamp, director of Emergency Services. “With their help, we are able to deploy cutting-edge technology and provide a high level of service to our patients. This is our number one priority.”
Emergency Services Lieutenant Richie Bobitka headed up this project. “I want to thank both Aqua Pools and the Paramedic Foundation for their support,” he says. “This allows us to be better prepared to treat heat-related emergencies.”
