The Spy has learned that there will be a new, but also familiar, source for artisan bread in Easton starting January 1. Evergrain in Chestertown has signed a lease with the Eastern Shore Conservation Center on Washington Street to open a satellite of the bread company in Chestertown.

Evergrain should sound familiar to some in Talbot County. For several years, they were a much sought after vendor at the Avalon Foundation’s Easton Farmers’ Market each Saturday.

Stay tuned for more updates.

Every time I have gone to Chestertown I have made this bakery one of my stops. I have asked them when they are coming back to Easton. Now I know and couldn’t be happier!
