QA Democrats Host 1st District Candidates LaFerla & Rosen Feb 2

The Democratic Club of Queen Anne’s County will host John LaFerla of Kent County and Wendy Rosen of Baltimore County at its monthly meeting on Thursday, February 2, 2012 at the Grasonville Community Center. A social will start at 6:30 p.m. followed by the program at 7:00.

John LaFerla

John LaFerla, M.D. resides in Chestertown with his wife, Susan and has practiced Obstetrics and Gynecology in the region for more than a decade. His office is located in Centreville and he sees patients at clinics in Caroline County and is Deputy Director of Public Health in Talbot County. John has been actively involved in Eastern Shore Democratic politics, most recently as chair of the Kent County Central Committee. He is running to oust Andy Harris and supports a progressive legislative agenda to improve the economy, promote strong education and quality health care for American families, and a strong national defense that promotes American values.

Wendy Rosen resides in Cockeysville in Baltimore County with her husband, Steve Rosen. Both are successful entrepreneurs. Over the past 30 years, Wendy has been an advocate for the “Made in America” movement and is campaigning on the platform that increasing demand for American made products is one key to restoring our economy. Through her organization ‘The American Made Alliance’, she was worked to pair American designers and small manufacturers in the arts and crafts community with top retailers in the U.S. Improving the American business climate is a major priority.

The Democratic Club of Queen Anne’s County meets the on the first Thursday of each month. The Grasonville Community Center is located on the north side of Md.
