QA Library Events set for January

The Queen Anne’s County Public Library has just released their programs and events for the month of January.

Fridays from January 4th-25th at 9:45 and 11:00 a.m.
Mother Goose on the Loose
Rhymes, music, puppets and movement followed by playtime. For ages 3 months – 36 months with caregiver. Free. No registration required. Kent Island Branch Library, 200 Library Circle, Stevensville, MD.

Saturdays, January 5, 12, 19, and 26 from 12:00-1:30 p.m.
Art at Noon
For all ages! Use recycled items to create a piece of art. Supplies provided. Led by artist Glenn Shiring. Free. No registration required. Kent Island Branch Library, 200 Library Circle, Stevensville, MD.

Monday, January 7 at 6:30 p.m.
Magic Candle Stories
For Kdg-5th grade. Meet in the children’s room for 45 minutes of stories “by candlelight” and creative activities. Free. No registration. Kent Island Branch Library, 200 Library Circle, Stevensville, MD.

Wednesday, January 9 from 10:30 a.m.-12:00 noon
Midweek Maker Meetup
Using recycled materials, create plarn (plastic yarn) projects. If possible, please bring plastic bags or newspaper wrappers in many colors and larger crochet hooks or knitting needles. Ages 6-adult. Kent Island Branch Library, 200 Library Circle, Stevensville, MD.

Wigglebotics: Build a Self-Propelled Drawing Machine
For grades 1-5. Presented in conjunction with FutureMakers. Create a wiggling, drawing machine! Use electricity, household materials, motors, wires and batteries to create circuits, and apply physics to make the machines draw. No experience required; all materials provided. Free. No registration but limited to the first 25. Made possible by a grant from the Sinksy-Kresser-Racusin Memorial Foundation. Kent Island Branch Library, 200 Library Circle, Stevensville, MD.
