The Queen Anne’s County Housing Authority (QAC) is pleased to announce the relocation of its administrative offices. Effective July 22nd, the administrative offices will move from 205 E Water St STE 100, Centreville, MD 21617, to the Kramer Center, located at 104 Powell Street, Centreville, MD 21617, where the Department of Community Services is housed. Despite the change in location, the phone number (410-758-8634), fax number (410-758-8635), and mailing address (PO Box 280, Centreville, MD 21617) will remain unchanged.
This move underscores the county’s ongoing commitment to enhancing services for QAC Housing Authority tenants and addressing housing and housing assistance needs by leveraging county resources and partnerships.
Earlier this year, on March 4th, the QAC Housing Authority Board invited the county to assume management responsibilities, a proposal the county accepted. Although the QAC Housing Authority remains an independent entity overseen by its board, it is now managed by the county, reinstating a management relationship that existed approximately 15 years ago.
Since this transition, the county has supported the QAC Housing Authority Board in managing properties, administering Housing Choice Vouchers, and maintaining property standards. Response times to maintenance calls have improved, and both short-term and long-term property improvements are underway. The county has also appointed a facilities manager to oversee maintenance and a property manager to assist with tenant and housing issues, complementing the existing QAC Housing Authority staff who have transitioned to county employment.
The QAC Housing Authority Board meets on the second Monday of each month at 4:00 PM in the QAC County Commissioners’ room at 107 N. Liberty Street, Centreville, unless otherwise noted. Agendas for upcoming meetings are available at QAC Agenda Center. Meetings can be viewed on QACTV’s social media (@QACTV) and on Breezeline Channel 7 and 507.
