Reiki is a gentle touch therapy that accesses universal life energy to promote healing on all levels (physical, emotional, mental and spiritual) and does not interfere with conventional medical treatment or alternative therapies. It is a useful tool for a personal wellness program and for people already in health care professions or care-giving situations, but also can be learned by anyone regardless health condition.

Says former Reiki class participant, Gail Shorter, nurse practitioner for UM Shore Regional Health’s Pain Care program, “Reiki has provided me with physical and emotional support through unexpected health issues as well as daily frustrations. I also have offered Reiki to others who have reported significant relief of pain and anxiety.”

Participants in this class will be certified by the USUI School of Natural Healing to give Reiki sessions not only themselves but others as well.

Tuition for the one-day class is $170 (including book cost) and continuing education credit is available for nurses. To register, call 410-822-1000, ext. 5851.
