Are You Ready?
Are you ready in case of the next emergency, whether man-made or natural? Do you know what to do in the event of a widespread disaster? Do you know what goes into a “go” kit and do you have one?
These are important questions that will be addressed by guest presenters Jim and Judy Bottorf at the November 20 Brown Bag Lunch at the Easton Branch of the Talbot County Free Library. The Bottorfs’ experience in emergency preparedness stems from their many years managing volunteer resources for law enforcement and non-government organizations. They received the Harriet Naylor Distinguished Member award from the Association for Volunteer Administration (AVA) for developing the AVA Academy, which trained over 300 participants in the U. S. and Canada from 2000 to 2005.
In an emergency, you may be without emergency services for as much as 72 hours. Can you take care of yourself and your family?

This free program begins at noon and will last approximately one hour. Guests are invited to bring their lunch to eat during the program or just come to listen and learn. Coffee andsweets will be provided by the Friends of the Library, who sponsor the Brown Bag Lunch program.
