The Chesapeake Bay Community Band will present its annual Spring Concert on Sunday, May 18, 2014. The performance will begin at 2:30pm on the stage of the Avalon Theatre, 40 East Dover Street, Easton, MD.
Titled Tales of the Sea, the performance will include Hands Across the Sea by John Phillip Sousa, Herbert L. Clarke’s Bride of the Waves, which features Retired United States Army Field Band Trumpeter Scott Holbert, The Middy March by Kenneth Alford, and a piece composed by Annapolis resident and Chesapeake Bay Community Band Bassoonist Randy Neilson titled, Thomas Point Suite. Finishing out the program will be Richard Wagner’s stormy sea inspired overture from The Flying Dutchman.
