Sheriff’s Report

Cordova – On August 8, Deputies from the Talbot County Sheriff’s Office located a 2004 GMC truck parked at Covey’s Landing during hours the landing is posted closed to the public. The Deputies located two occupants in the vehicle, Tyler Martin Whiteley Jr, 19 of Easton, MD and Brittany Marie King, 21 of Cordova, MD. Both occupants were issued criminal citations for trespassing and released upon their signatures.

Easton – On August 10, Deputies from the Talbot County Sheriff’s Office stopped a 2012 Subaru on Dutchman’s Lane near Stoney Ridge Circle for speeding. Upon the Deputies approach to the vehicle, the smell of marijuana was detected. The driver was identified as Erin Leigh Lowicki, 27 of Baltimore, MD. A search of the vehicle revealed marijuana and paraphernalia. Lowicki was placed under arrest and processed, being released after signing criminal citations for possession of marijuana, possession of paraphernalia and a traffic citation for speeding.

Trappe – On August 10, Deputies from the Talbot County Sheriff’s Office were called to the Windy Hill Landing for a domestic assault. Upon arrival, Deputies contacted Laura Elizabeth Geib, 29 of Easton, MD who advised Deputies the call was a misunderstanding. As Deputies interviewed witnesses in the area it was determined Laura Geib was assaulted by her husband, Stephen Jacob Geib, 38 of Easton, MD. Stephen Geib was placed under arrest and transported for processing. Stephen Geib was charged with assault in the second degree and was released on his personal recognizance by the District Court Commissioner.
