On September 17, Deputies from the Talbot County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 4000 block of Windy Hill Road for a report of a weapon discharge. Information was learned several shots were fired from a rifle in the area and the person responsible left the area in a burgundy Chevrolet mini-van. The Deputies located the van and took the suspect into custody without incident. James Leon Lempke Jr, 48 of Trappe, MD was arrested and charged with assault and reckless endangerment. The Deputies learned Lempke Jr, while intoxicated, argued with his father and his girlfriend at a residence on Windy Hill Road. Lempke Jr retrieved a rifle from the residence, and after threatening to kill his father and girlfriend, fired several shots from the rifle. Deputies recovered the rifle from the property. Lempke Jr was processed and taken before a District Court Commissioner who ordered him held without bond pending further court action.
Attempt to Identify and Locate:
The Talbot County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a burglary which occurred on May 6, 2013 at approximately 12:15 p.m. on Waterloo Drive in Easton, Talbot County, Maryland. The victim arrived home and observed a white male described as approximately 50-60 years of age, un-shaven, medium build, wearing dark khaki pants and a brown jacket with a white baseball style cap. The subject was driving a small size, white, pickup truck, with unknown Maryland registration. The truck is further described as having an imprint of decal(s) on the passenger side door (however the decal(s) are removed), as well as a small silver antenna on the roof of the truck. Below is a composite sketch of the suspect observed at the residence during the incident.
