Easton – On December 6, Deputies from the Talbot County Sheriff’s Office stopped a motor vehicle on Black Dog Alley at Dover Road for traffic violations. Upon contact with the vehicle operator, Sheavonya Renee Cornish, 25 of Hurlock, MD, the Deputy detected the odor of burning marijuana coming from the vehicle. A search of the vehicle revealed marijuana cigarettes and packaging. Cornish was charged on a criminal citation with possession of marijuana and failing to stop at a stop sign. Cornish was released upon her signature on the citations.
Cordova – On December 6, Deputies from the Talbot County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 29000 block of Whitetail Drive for the theft of a four wheeler. The victim reported her 2009 Yamaha Grizzly 700 pink in color stolen from a shed on her property. Evidence suggested someone in a truck with a trailer entered the property and loaded the four wheeler on the trailer from the shed. Cordova – On December 11, Deputies from the Talbot County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 11000 block of Kitty’s Corner Road in reference to an assault with a handgun. Deputies were advised by Jimy Danilo Monroy-Ulloa, 30 of Easton, MD that a white male approached him as he was working at a residence on Kitty’s Corner Road, made threats and displayed a handgun. The Deputies were able to identify the suspect as Richard Ray Hastings, 51 of Cordova, MD. An arrest warrant was obtained and Hastings was placed under arrest being charged with first degree assault, second degree assault, handgun on person and firearm use in violent crime. Hastings was processed and taken before a District Court Commissioner, his release information was not available. The handgun used was recovered by the responding deputies and is being held as evidence.
