The St. Michaels Art League is pleased to announce the winners of the 2020 Banner Artwork Show currently at the St. Michaels branch of the Talbot County Free Library.  The artwork was used to create the banners displayed on the town’s utility poles from April to November.

The banner art was judged by Tracy Eutsler, Executive Director of the Perkins Family YMCA in St. Michaels. First place awards were given in two categories: artistic merit and graphic design.

Watercolor by Kathleen Rosenberger “Twilight on the Bay”, winner for Artistic Merit.

First place in the category of Artistic Merit went to Kathleen Rosenberger for her watercolor titled “Twilight on the Bay”, while First Place for Graphic Design went to Deborah McFarlin for her watercolor titled “Dock View.”

The banner artwork will be displayed through Friday October 30th at the St. Michaels Library during modified library hours: Monday and Thursday 10am-noon and 3 to 7 pm (library closed mid-day for cleaning) and Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 9am to noon and 2 to 5pm. The library is closed Saturday and Sunday.

Original 18 x 18 framed banner artwork is for sale. For more information about the St. Michaels Art League and to view the original banner artwork visit smartleague.org.  This program is funded in part by a grant from the Talbot County Arts Council with revenue provided by the Maryland State Arts Council.
