St. Michaels Museum Opens This Weekend for 2022 Season

May 6, 2022 by Spy Desk

Share

With the tourist season now in full swing, the St. Michaels Museum at St. Mary’s Square will open its doors on Saturday, May 7, at 10 a.m., and remain open Friday through Sunday each week until the end of October. Specific hours can be found on the Museum’s recently upgraded website.

One new feature on the site is being able to book one of the Museum’s popular walking tours online. One tour is “Historic St. Michaels: People, Places, and Events,” and the other is “The St. Michaels of Frederick Douglass.” These tours have a regular schedule each Saturday morning, but the Museum now offers them as well on specially scheduled basis. We are delighted to say that over 150 people have taken advantage of this special scheduling so far this year before our doors were open. It is a joy welcoming these visitors to our unique town with all that it has to offer. More information can be found on the Tours link on our website.

If you have a moment, be sure to view the collection of St. Michaels postcards that are now displayed on the website. The Museum is fortunate that so many longtime residents have donated images of historical significance to the Museum, and we wanted to make these fragile gems available on line.
