The Talbot Bank, a member of the Shore Bancshares community of companies, assisted Critchlow Adkins Children’s Centers (CACC) with their Character Band-Aid Drive this past January. The collection of band-aids were sent to the University of Maryland Children’s Hospital to be used in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, Hematology/Oncology Clinic, Pediatrics Intermediate Care Unit and the Pediatrics Emergency Department.
The most requested characters were Scooby Doo, Dora, Spiderman and Batman, but any Curad, Band-Aid or Nexcare types were accepted and appreciated in addition to latex free band-aids. Other items that were welcomed were PlayDoh, Matchbox cars, card games, small puzzles, chapstick, infant board books, bubbles and activity books. These were used to replenish the children’s treasure chest for them to use while receiving treatment at the hospital.
“It was a very heartwarming feeling knowing that such a small gesture will go a long way and touch many lives.” said Brenda Wooden, Tred Avon Branch Manager, The Talbot Bank.
