Tickets on Sale to 2019 Talbot County Business Appreciation Breakfast

April 19, 2019 by Talbot County Office of Economic Development & Tourism

Talbot County Department of Economic Development and Tourism and the Talbot County Economic Development Commission will host the 11th Annual Business Appreciation Breakfast on Friday, May 3, 2019, at the Milestone Event Center in Easton from 8 – 10 a.m.

The program is designed to honor all Talbot County businesses, with special recognition for those that have exhibited a significant positive impact in the community in the past year.

“Whether it is through volunteering, providing a service that is in desperate need in the community, or hiring and retaining a great workforce, our local business community goes above and beyond when it comes to community impact,” says Talbot County Council President Corey Pack. “Businesses, organizations, and individuals are an integral part of our community and we are proud to celebrate their successes at the Business Appreciation Breakfast.”

Last year, four community impact awards were presented to business and community projects. Winners included Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum, Eat Sprout, Easton Utilities, and Talbot County Sherriff’s Office and Tidewater Rotary for Talbot Goes Purple. Furthermore, Captains Tom and Judy Bixler of the Oxford-Bellevue Ferry were awarded the Community Impact Award for an individual.

In addition to the award presentations, this year’s Breakfast will feature Maryland Department of Commerce Secretary Kelly Schulz as the keynote speaker. In her role as Secretary, Schulz oversees an agency comprised of six divisions and 13 public boards and commissions. Prior to joining Commerce, Schulz served as Secretary for the Maryland Department of Labor, Licensing, and Regulation, an agency of nearly 2,000 employees and a $375 million budget.

Tickets are $30 per person and can be purchased at www.TalbotWorks.org. For more information, or to purchase a table, call 410-770-8058.
